Our Vision
The future of care
- We believe in a future where compassionate care is never dependent upon luck.
- A future where every patient, every family member and every colleague feels genuinely seen, heard, respected and empowered.
- A future where communication is recognised as a clinical skill, compassion is embedded into organisational culture and kindness becomes an expectation rather than an exception.
- We believe healthcare can be both clinically outstanding and deeply human.
- Poppy’s Promise exists to help make that future possible.

Mission statement
To embed compassion, communication, and humanity into every patient experience within the NHS - by transforming how healthcare professionals are trained, supported, and valued.
What is a CIC?
The Poppy’s Promise Foundation is a registered not for profit Community Interest Company (CIC), created to deliver social good and reinvest all profits into driving positive change within healthcare.
Governance
As a CIC, we are bound by strict legal obligations to use our assets for public benefit. Our directors, legal team and accountants oversee governance to ensure transparency, sustainability, and measurable impact.
Our purpose
We believe that effective, empathetic communication saves lives.
By sharing lived experiences and evidence-based practice, we equip NHS teams with the tools to deliver care that is not only clinically excellent, but emotionally intelligent.
Our values
Compassion: the ability to recognise suffering, vulnerability or distress, and respond with genuine kindness, patience and humanity
Acknowledgement: seeing, hearing and validating the person in front of you
Respect: the consistent demonstration of dignity, courtesy and professionalism in every interaction
Empowerment: enabling people to understand, participate in and feel confident about their care and decisions
